makes perfect sense
& paratroopers have a tendency to "acquire" USAF stuff =)
and in reality, after WW2 there was an abundance of equipment, ammo, etc

I would dare say, from other weapons I own, IF it is British Empire, with a six pointed star, it is Australian Army.
