Re: Ammunition for International M2

Hello, If you loaded your own shells, it might be possible to modify the empty shell base. I think there might not be enough metal to allow the groove. I doubt anyone would say it is safe to modify the base of a live shell. Neat that is has some family connection to you. I would just enjoy it as an ...

US 37 MM Dummy Flares

I picked these up in a box lot of various flare cartridges. I thought they were really great. Excellent way to exhibit what a flair looks like without have ANY danger of live pyrotechnics. Both have the primer dented and are stamped “DUMMY”, just the one has the printed info. Full info is: “SIGNAL C...

Re: International Flare Signal Co Mark 2

I picked up this chrome plated M2 example a few weeks ago, it is unmarked except for the grip panels and “K45” on the front strap of the grip. As others have said, without military markings, it was probably made for non-military sales.

Re: Need help IDing/valuing flare piston

I'll make a slight correction, the holster is Canadian issue, the gun may have also been Canadian issue, but still British Commonwealth associated.

Re: Need help IDing/valuing flare piston

Hello Reed, Nice gun! It is a WW II British contract, US made, H & R Mark VI. The arrowhead is the British ownership/acceptance mark. I looked and didn't find one posted in the British flare gun section. The holster is British also. Both are in excellent condition. I really don't know the sales ...

Soviet Flair Cartridge?

I bought a Soviet OSP30 flare gun and this fired cartridge was with it. It is a steel case, with a green band around the lower body and on the end. It appears to have the letters “(XI9)” or “(bIX)” on the base. It is 81 mm long. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. I’m posting phot...
