Hi,

this is abbreviatet und is called: ZÜNDHÜTCHEN- UND PATRONENFABRIK SCHÖNEBECK AN DER ELBE.
That means: PERCUSSION CAPS AND CARTRIDGE FACTORY
SCHOENEBECK ON THE RIVER ELBE
The "4" is the caliber. Cal.4 = 26,5mm

Hi Kurt,

here is the same Cartridge after 1916. In this time the army became the long cartridge cases and the feel marks.

Hi Signalman, your signal pistol is a "2,6cm Lichtpistool voor verticale shot". They shot a vertical line into the air, which is targeted to a measuring device. For this weapon, there were special cartridges, comparable to the German M-cartridges. The suffix "V" means "Verti...

Okay, here are two dutch illuminating cartridges before 1940. The Army used two variants of cartridge cases - dutch production and french producktion. No headstamp, but the dutch case has a knurled rim!

Hi doctor,

here are two rare yugoslavian flare cartridges before 1941. There are not headstamps, but the primer are marked "BT3 K". This means VTZ (Voina technical zavod Kragujevac).

Question about belgian flare ammonition pre 1940

Does anybody have any information about belgian flare ammunition before the german occupation in 1940. I need information about what Belgium had at this time and about the markings.
Any information about flare guns besides the Hebel would be helpful as well.
