commercial steel LP?!

i have found a well used steel walther LP34 with the marking "cal.4" on the barrel and a "L" on the end of the serial number on the frame, the numbers on the barrel and frame are matching i just want to know if its a commercial model
there are no other markings that have survived, i also dont see any wafflestamps on any part

The L suffix is from a Commercial production line. Note, However, many military proofed, and contract pistols were taken from that line.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.


I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

mine must be commercial then, ive dissasembled it and there isnt any wafflestamps on any part.
what year could it be made it? it doesent say
