This is a rare find for me at the recent gun show in Louisville. It is a commercial Zink Walther with an e/c Police marking and it has wood grips!
Erma-Erfurt had the bulk of the police contract guns.

Re: Zinc Police Walter
Interesting, thank you for posting. I have a Walther with the same grips, it is a late war, steel frame with aluminum barrel. The steel frame has machine marks where the original maker was milled off, then a new maker stamp applied (Walther) similar to yours
Re: Zinc Police Walter
I do have a Walther Zinc with Police acceptance as well. You are right that mostly Erma´s are found when searching for a Police accepted flare gun.Mark wrote:This is a rare find for me at the recent gun show in Louisville.
