My Beginning Collectiion

Post by AR-50A1 »

Hi Folks,

May I present my humble collection. I purchased the 1937 dated Model 1934 two years ago because I collect 1937 dated weapons. Things got serious when I purchased the 'silver' LP42 as a gun show walk-in the first weekend in January 2014. Since then I have been on a 'quest'. :>) I am still in the market for a Kampfpistole should anyone have a 90%+ example for sale.

Bill

That is a beautiful Krieghoff Willie. Someday you are going to say "I never should have sold that!". It did go to a good home... :D

Hi All,

Since 'introducing' my collection last March I have added a few more pieces. Comments are always welcome.

You are adding some very nice examples to your collection. As funds permit, you should also add flareguns from the Allies as well as the Axis powers.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

very nice pieces! I think you should add a Walther in steel, both short and Long Barrel. And many other pieces, with time. Because this Looks like it will be an impressive collection, better it is one already and has potential to be superb ;-)

Thanks to everyone for the compliments.

Bergler, I am in search of a Model 1928 as well as a Type 97 Japanese. I am not attempting to put together a collection with each variation, type, WaA code, etc. I am more inclined to put together a nice 'type collection'. I do a couple of local gun shows and its surprising how many 'experienced' collectors have never seen a WWII flare pistol. I also take my two examples of grenades (Wk 361 LP HE and 326) and people just shake their heads.

So, I am still in the hunt :>)
