Chinese M57(?) flare pistol...how rare?

I was recently at Joint Base Lewis McChord and decided to check out the post military museum, as I had not been there in a few years...since I am rather new to the flare pistol hobby, I kept my eye out...these Chinese pistols caught my eye. One was captured in Vietnam, the other in Iraq. Sorry for the poor quality pictures, the lighting of the displays was very bad.

I could find very few references to these, are they rare in North America?
