This Australian Line Thrower is converted from the No1 Mk111* from CSR Sydney. We only made the Mk111* pistols.
It comes in a wooden box with flaking line and the rockets are always missing. Bore is 1 1/4" (32mm). No 6793.

Re: Australian Line Thrower
They were converted at the Small Arms Factory in Lithgow. Not just CSR pistols were converted, I have seen and photographed a Webley & Scott made example that was converted in Lithgow.

Re: Australian Line Thrower
I just found out that the C.E.S label means Current Equipment Schedule. ie. the equipment parts that can be issued with a larger item.
eg. tools for a Land Rover or larger item. The other pistol that came with the line in the box did not have this sticker on it.

Re: Australian Line Thrower
Is this the only line thrower with the forward handle under the barrel? I think every other line throwing pistol that I have seen had the support handle on top of the barrel.
Re: Australian Line Thrower
C. E. S. should mean Complete Equipment Schedule, as far as I know.
