Canadian stamped W&S No1Mk3

Post by Peter »

My latest addition:
A nice, Canadian stamped 1918 No1Mk3.

I didn't see one on the forum yet, so maybe it's nice to share.
I wonder when the Canadian stamp was placed.

That is a nice one - thanks for sharing!

Hopefully one of our members can provide some insights as to the No1MkIII in Canadian service. In the meantime - Happy New Year!

Most likely it was applied when it was received into stores by Canada, if there was time. Failing that thee mark may have been applied after the war.

There is no way of knowing unfortunately.

Come on chaps. I am new to this forum but this pistol is a Mk111*. The mk111 does not have the barrel flare as all you collectors must know.

Actually, the Mark III does not have the break open safety, The Mark III* has the safety. I have both mark III and III* with and without the Barrel flare.

Ron, Welcome to the forum.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !
