up for sale is a Flare gun where I am still not sure if it is russian or romanian. very similar to the romanian Me-RO, but very different russian style Opening mechanism.
Latest understanding is that it is russian late war, and the romanian model was built after it, with a differelt Opening mechanism (LP42 style). No markers marks, just Serial number.
Very nice condition, original wooden grips, mechanically excellent.
Price is 220 EUR. Sipping in the EU is 14 EUR.

Excellent price for such a rare gun
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.
I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

Quite common on Gunbroker right now....many for sale from one individual. He must have many, as the auctions keep renewing. I recently purchased one...I am sure he will run out eventually. I think Bergler's is in slightly nicer condition.

I believe, years ago, I was told it is Russian Manufactured for Romania.

Does anyone know the model designation? How was this referred to in Romanian service?
