This double action pistol made by Shin Chuo Kogyo KK is designed for 21.5 mm caliber, the equivalent of American caliber 10 gage. It is the first post-war signal pistol made in Japan. The weapon is steel and either burnished or phosphated. The handles are made of wood and have horizontal grooves. The opening lever for the barrel is located in front of the trigger guard, the safety switch is on the left side of the gun, directly behind the trigger. Under the handle is a leash ring. The Model 1953 signal pistol is primarily used by land forces.

The pictures of the 1953 and compass 38 look very professional. Are these pistols part of your collection or from a museum, etc. ? ? They are quite rare and I never saw good photo's of them before.
