Help to identify flare launcher please

Just bought this launcher (no markings), came with the flares (VFM No. 10) but not sure if they correspond to the same era.
Any help is appreciated.

I don't see a launcher, I see four 10 WWII era gauge flares, some in waterproof casings.

USA, Mk 1V, usually found in Navy survival kits. Several different makers, with Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Co. being the most common.

There is a similar model Mk111 with slightly different characteristics

I will keep trying to look for a web page to adquiere some history and see other ones out there.
Googled those names and nothing relative show, just a machine gun, brass very pistol and modern vacuums.

Look for a copy of Dustin Clingenpeel's "Survival and Rescue Equipment of World War II: Army Air Forces and U.S. Navy - Volume 2." It has an entire section dedicated to pyrotechnic flares and the launchers.

According to Clingenpeel, these were made by the Eureka Vacuum Cleaner Company and the Bell Gossett Company. ~550,000 were made between 1942 and 1945 for U.S. Navy aviator survival kits. Cost at the time was $1.80 each!
