Sedgley Mk 5 shoulder holster FINK LEATHER SHOP

Post by maconset »

Greetings.

I recently acquired this nifty little shoulder holster, apparently made for the Sedgley Mk 5 as it fits like a glove.
I have never seen anything like this before and would be grateful for any information

It is marked with "FINK LEATHER SHOP" and the code "25 38 SW 6".

Thanks,

David

Hello, It looks like you have a holster for some type of 6" barrel Smith & Wesson in .38 cal. which is how the holster is marked. If someone can locate a catalog for the maker in the correct year, you should be able to discover which pistol. Or search on ebay using the name and markings to find a similar example. If you look at the Leather wrapped around the barrel you will see it was cut down on one side.

It still looks neat, and the Sedgley does look good in it.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !
