British MK 4 Flare Pistol

Post by ron3350 »

I just found a British Flaregun marked MARK 4 at the top of the frame. No photos yet.
1 1/2" CAL. SIGNAL PISTOL
WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD
BIRMINGHAM
It has BP and BV under a crown proofs and the 1 1/2 in diamond nitro proof mark. Serial No. C 312
I looks like a model M proofs on a different No4 Mk 1 frame & smooth barrel without barrel lugs or top safety. I guess post 1950? Info welcome.

Pistol is marked 1V and has a smooth barrel so differs from a No4 Mk1.

Hi Ron
This is a pistol for civilian use
and for the police in the sixties and seventies.
The pistol has no lock for a mounting device.

Best regards
