FRENCH NAVY FLARE GUN CONVERSION OF LEBEL, AND GRAS.

These are two rare French Navy Conversions of the French Gras, and Lebel Rifles.

Note the Naval Markings on the Butt of the Flare Guns.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

Picture showing Barrels opened for loading. Many countries used that style of latch on various model flare guns.
