W&S 1 Mark III

Hi,

This flare gun was one of the first in my collection. You'll see in the handgrips the inscription BCY '14 and at the other side 6 P. An old Englich soldier say to me that this mean : " Berkshine County Yoemany ". Is this right? Who knows more about this? Please let me now.
