Post by Fson »

Producer; Francotte Liege

Used in some unknown number by the Swedes. No specific swedish stamps.

Holster same type as for the m/18.

Hi Horst,

it means;

Kungliga Livgardet till Häst -1927
Kungliga Livgardesskvadronen -1928
etc. etc.

was the first Cavalery regiment located in Stockholm.

and No 107 is a rack or indivdiual number for this very pistol at the mentioned regiment.

Hi,
This flare gun on the picture have the Belgium stamps. The oval with the crown, means used in Belgium after 1923. The big C with the number 4 , means the caliber.

Best regards

From the beginning this pistol was also called m/18 while later it was called m/18-41 to differantiate from the HVA.
These were also called as simple as "Francotte". I have seen many but all of them seems to be made by Francotte in Liege. They were sold surplus by the army at the end of 1967-68.
