Hebel used by Finnland with rare holster

Post by bergler »

Hi,
I aquired s few flare pistols lately. Here is one of the things I want to share. It is a germal Hebel from WW1, Manufacturer Bernhard Paatz. It saw usage after the war by the finnish army, stamped SA. The gun was used on the island of Santahamina , still property of the finnish army. There was a base for flying boats there till 1936 with 3 halls. The gun comes from there, it was used as a signaling device. The holster fits like a glove. It was not used to carry the gun, but to protect it. The writing "Halli 3" means hall 3. The gun and holster come straight from the gun master from Santahamina. I hope you like it!

Great gun & Holster, I have never seen that holster before. Thank you.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !
