These cartridges are for a target device for the Swedish navy. The ignition is electric. The cartridge cases are shortened Nordenfelt - cases. Of course you can load they also in the signal pistol M / 96, because this gun is built for the caliber of the Nordenfelt rapid-fire cannon. The signal cartridges are 96mm long, they existed in the colors red and white.

The earliest model had short hammers. To avoid accidents the navy applied at text:signalman wrote: ↑Sat 03 May 2014, 21:41 I just received an example of the 1896 with the hammer extensions over the barrels, I can find NO markings except for the number 8 on all the screws, so I guess it is serial number 8. That makes three variations in my collection.
Now I just need some period flares, and perhaps a holster - if they made one.

On the later model the hammers got extensions and by this blocking to open the pistol without half cocking the hammers!
