Unusual Luftwaffe proof on Late Ecko Model L

Post by signalman »

I was going through my model L's to find a few to sell, and noticed this unusual Luftwaffe Proof on serial #26722.

Note that this is NOT a stick eagle, the wings are curved,

Serials before this example in the 25,000 range, and after this pistol in the extremely late 27,000 range have the standard squat eagle with 2 inside.

Has anybody seen this proof on any of their flare pistols ?? Model L's ?? Heers??

Does this proof have a special meaning ??

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !
