Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

This morning, I saw this very same flare gun (Immanuel Meffert ( I.M. ) N° 1887) for sale on the net.
Does anyone know the value of this piece?

If all original and not damaged, refinished, or pitted up, it is a good price.

I have seen a number of them for sale over the years in Europe, but importation has gotten to be such a problem I do not want to go through the hassle.

I am always looking for them in the USA.

Hello, The auction was Oct. 2013, and it sold for $16,100. That included the fees.

I would gladly take that for either of my two 4 barrels.
