How was your 4th of July Celebration. Did you shoot off any flares ? ?

Did any of the flares or launchers come from Muncie, Indiana ?
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

Just smoke and chalk rounds. The smoke was modified fireworks (the colorful ones). The plain aluminum cases were the chalk rounds that I assembled using 35mm film cans.
The launchers we used were 2 Federal Labs 201z, a slam fire of unknown manufacture I've had for 20+years and the rotary launcher is owned by a friend and I don't remember who manufactured it. I just know it cost him $1400 and it is heavy.
Some of our fun can be seen here.

This AM as I sorted and counted the empties I found 2 unfired smokes (a blue and a yellow). Total count of the empties was 234. 180 were mine and 54 was my friends.
