Italian Flare Gun

I recently was handed down an Italian Flare gun from my good friend's family. He was a messenger in WWll and road a motorcycle. One of the items he brought back with him was an Italian Flare gun. I have only a rough idea of its value and I definitely believe it belongs with a collector rather than on my shelf. It has written on the barrel the following: R. Stabilimento costruzione-artiglierie F. 01359 M. and it comes with a case. I tried to upload pictures, first 4 then only 1, but both times it said the file was too big.
