I picked these up in a box lot of various flare cartridges. I thought they were really great. Excellent way to exhibit what a flair looks like without have ANY danger of live pyrotechnics. Both have the primer dented and are stamped “DUMMY”, just the one has the printed info. Full info is: “SIGNAL CARTRIDGE MK IV/CONTRACT NO. / MANUFACTURER I.F.S. Div./LOT NO. DUMMY/ DATE/INSPECTOR J.W.T.” I also has an anchor stamped on it and stamped “INERT”. I’m very happy to have found them.

Re: US 37 MM Dummy Flares
I was not even aware that there were Dummy rounds! I have three live USN 37mm flares (one dated Nov 43 and the other two dated May 44). Same manufacturer but the inspector on all of them is "G.H.B."
