Hello, yes, They had a flaregun produced in limited quantities during and after WWII called the La Corona. Not sure of the spelling. It was a 26.5mm. It looked similar to the German Heer model, but the grips were very brittle and are usually found damaged.
There was also an Astra 500, quite rare, but that is usually found in ~ 20mm ( 10 gauge ).

Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.
I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

Hello,
Here are some pictures of the "La Coruna" flaregun Signalman mentioned.
My example is a 1943 dated one.
La Coruna, by the way, is a city in Spain, it had an arms factory that also produced K-98 Mauser rifles.

Thanks very much Peter.
Re: Spanish signal cartridges
The next generation of Spanish signal cartridges was manufactured in 1946. These cartridges had an 83mm long aluminum case with a ring in the color of the star. On the head was a circle in the same color, also the cap was painted in this color. The feel marks of the white cartridges were a half-milled rim, green cartridges had a smooth rim, by red cartridges the rim was full-milled, and by yellow cartridges it was divided into eight parts, four of which were smooth and four milled. On the headstamp is the name of the manufacturer - Lecea Vitoria - to see. These cartridges were intended for the same pistol as the cardboard tubes, but this signal pistol was renamed after the war from M43 in M46.
