The production numbers were projections, not actual production figures. I do have the actual production figures from another source, but nothing segregates them by company, just overall by year.
Actual contract production of the M9 did not occur until 1943.
135,514 projectors were manufactured in 1943
117,908 in 1944
34,000 in 1945
For a grand total 287,422

Now if we were translate that into serial numbers:
1-135,514 1943 production
135,515-253,422 1944 production
253,423-287,422 1945 production
You can now date range your projectors.
I have the same schematics for the M2 pistol and M8

If you would, please post the M2 and M8 production in the appropriate threads. I have done a couple of displays of WWII flare guns and while I found good numbers for Japanese and German production, U.S. numbers were always shown as "UNKNOWN." Thanks!
