For info, I recently acquired an identical H&R Mark III long-barrel, S/N A195.

Details of the no serial number, "not quite straight trigger guard" pistol.
The cutouts on each side of the barrel are to facilitate brute-force, manual extraction of the fired shell.

S/N 6 details.
With the angled trigger guard, I have to put my middle finger inside the guard and ring/index fingers outside which makes it a bit awkward to pull the trigger through.

Thanks! I didn't associate the "S" with the Luger date code, that makes sense.

Lastly, what kind of material is the grip handle ?
This has one chip on the outside, and larger chunks on the inside where it meets the barrel (which leaves it a bit of a loose fit). I have the pieces, just need to figure out the best way to glue them back in place.
