Walther Zinc Pistols

Post by ron3350 »

I show my two zinc 34 models. I just got the wooden grip pistol . First time I had a chance to buy one.
# 48829 L on the bakelite grip model. Note the zinc crack near the serial number.
# 57142 L on the wooden grip model with serial number near the Walther banner.

I realise similar zinc pistols have been shown before. Can we date these to a specific year of production?

Based on observation the late wood grip example is most likely 1944, The Plastic grip example is most likely 1943.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !
