I Like this one i have only seen the type with the trumpet end too the barrel.
when were these isssued and did they have a single use or were they jeneral issue?

7 years late in replying. These are made out of a materiel called Mazac. Unfortunately it proved to be brittle at low temperatures so official issue was later restricted to the tropics.

I think the Mazac (zinc?) material was simply too brittle in general, I have seem many copies that have fractured where the grip meets the frame.
