Steel flare cartidge box

Post by ayf »

In Lorenz,s book about flare gun items, you find a Picture of a sheet metall flare cartidge Box With belt loops. This type Box was perhaps made as a prototype and its not many left of them.Innside it was cardboard between the cartidges and it was made for 8 cartidges.Someone have this one in the Collection or have Close up Pictures of one ?
In the book written by Lorenz, you find that only one of this type are known

Bought this one, flare cartidge container for carry in belt.
This type was approved by Heeres in 1942.

Does this container attach to a belt, if so can you picture how it attaches.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

Hello,

I have this one coming my way...see pics...

It is not necessarily a flare cartridge box.
It was (maybe also ?) used to store the glass tubes for the "Gasanzeiger".
