Erma 38

Post by Bob 89 »

Hello from Florida,
I have been collecting German flare for a while now and am glad I found this forum. I own and have read scheit's book German flare pistols and signal ammunition and have found it quite enlightening.
I picked this Erma 38 up locally a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to seed how Waffen proofed it is compared to a 1938 - S/237 I own. Was this transitional ???
Thanks
P.S. I am not very computer savvy and can't tell yet by previewing the post if the images uploaded. If not please bare with me as I will try again

Hello, you should be able to post photo's. Make sure they are the correct size, use the preview button to see if your photo's will be uploaded. So far I see no photo's.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

Welcome to the forum.

I live near the S. County Fairgrounds, and belong to the Palm Beach Historic Arms Collectors Club. I will be giving a talk on early U.S. and Civil War flareguns at the club meeting the third Wed. of April at 7:00PM. If you are in the area, you are invited to attend. The Club meetings are at the Scottish Rites Building on Ave. D in Lake Worth.
