British 1 1/2" Webley-Schermuly pistol with blackened aluminium frame.
Not rare but I like the shape and the screwed on name plate.

Re: 1 1/2" Webley-Schermuly Pistol
Hi Ron, I do have both the pistol and rifle version of this, but I have never come across any others for sale in my circle. It would seem to me they are quite scarce unless you know of the British selling a bunch surplus. Where do you see them turn up ? ?
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.
I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

I have only found this example but assumed it was a common type. Think I saw a photo in Jane's years ago. Thanks for the comments.

The rifle or carbine type was really for riot control, the pistol version being more of a signal pistol.
