British No3 Mark 2 Pistol

Post by ron3350 »

I did not see a photo of the No3 Mark 2 Pistol on this site.
Interesting four screw bayonet locks on the barrel and it has a top locking latch.
Who is the maker ; NT 1941.

Yes, I have a couple of these in excellent condition. Much scarcer than most of the wartime Webleys with none, or the standard square lugs.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

Just found three examples. Approximately 5,000 manufactured. Early serial number 774 is marked Webley and Scott. My 2 others have higher serial numbers. I believe they are also Webley & Scott manufactured. Why the maker mark is missing, I do not know.

Were these intended for aircraft use, utilizing a screw attachment mount vice the four bayonet lugs normally encountered? Does anyone have a picture of the mount?
