Most likely German
Can you please tell me what flare gun this is? It seems to have German WW2 stamps.

Re: Most likely German
It is an AW.W. 37, used by the German Navy and the German Air Force in WWII. Does it have other markings, serial number ? etc. The WWI version had wood grips.

Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.
I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

Hi,
It's a German KM flare gun:

It was built by Artilleriewerft Wilhemshaven.
The safety 'trigger' has been replaced by a 'home made' system

Bruno, are you sure the safety is replaced, just looks corroded to me as there can be slight variations ?

Re: Most likely German
Sorry regarding my 'too quick' "analysis". It was the first time I was seeing such 'grooved' button (with a cylindrical shape) for the safety.
Re: Most likely German
It's not mine - Sorry I have only some pictures.
