FRENCH 1917 AVIATOR MODEL - WITH 25mm liner

This is a Rare 1917 French Aviator Model flare pistol. These were used in limited quantities by U.S. troops as supplies, especially of Optics, and Flare Pistols.

This example has a 25mm liner in it, which I believe was to adapt this gun for the U.S. 25mm cartridges.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !
