Any idea what "DѦK" means? Also, I found a "VL" mark at the bottom of the gun. I wonder if "DѦK" is Dum Dum in Kulkutta India.

The marking appears on signal pistols made in Sydney, Australia, by the CSR or Colonial Sugar Refining Co. To the best of my knowledge nobody has discovered the meaning of the marking other than it is an ownership and/or inspection mark.

I am keen to know any more about this mark as well!
