Model 26 Steel short barrel markings

Holiday Greetings.

This is a recent purchase. Any information would be gratefully accepted particularly the markings on the inner grip strap.

My best guess: "9. Artillerie Regiment 62".
Google knows more ;)

This marking means 9. Batterie, Artillerie Regiment 6, Waffe Nr. 2
