Israeli manufactured copy of British No. 1 Mk111*

Post by breakeyp »

This is the second Israeli manufactured flare pistol I have. The other one is not at hand for the moment. While it can be argued that it has been refinished to the point that it has no obvious markings. The small parts are broad arrowed indicating possible cannibalization from a British pistol. This pistol has casting defects in the barrel and frame that I doubt would be acceptable to a British inspector. The receiver is stamped with the Israeli Star of David and the circular Y mark indicating govt property. file size seems to limit the addition of pictures.

You can search online and find a site that allows you to reduce the file size of the picture so you can post it.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !
