Hy, so ERMA ERFURT started making police flare guns in 1937 and for only half that year they used a P prefix in the serial number nobody else did that half way through 1937 they dropped the K. Also during this time they used the stubby winged eagle with a K in the breast just like on the police leather products, this also stopped when the P prefix was dropped. I have only recorded 9 of these guns yours would be number 10. A very rare.

I have many heer 1934 Police Flare pistols for sale from my 54 year collection, some are listed on Gun Broker along with many other flare pistols I have for sale.
