20mm Double Barrel WWII Japanese Navy Flare Pistol

Post by signalman »

This is one of my two examples of a Double barrel version of the Japanese WWII 20mm signal pistol.

It is a very crude stamped sheet metal design, and very unusual for its Front and rear sight is over the left side of the pistol and barrel, not centered.

Serial #14 has a curved design safety, and a Thick trigger.

Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

This is my other Double barrel version of the 20mm Japanese signal pistol.

It is a very crude stamped sheet metal design, and very unusual for its Front and rear sight is over the left side of the pistol, not centered.

Serial #311 has a more rectangular design safety, and a Thin trigger.

Less than 400 believed manufactured.
