Blued LP42

What i am asking is, did LP42's made late in the war, leave the factory without any form of coating (bare metal). If so, does anyone have a photo showing a LP42 that came without coating from the factory?

By looking at these two lp42's that clearly have been sanded, would you say the stampings where applied AFTER the galvanization?
