What is the serial number of the gun, and what is the number on the stock lug.

The stock probably is one made in India. Can you show the other side, including the brass grip and number. If it is, then the stock would be a contemporary fake.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

With no serial number on the stock lug, and the type of wood used for the stock, I believe they are India reproductions. of course the flare gun itself is real, and period.

Hi,

Here's the other side of the gun with the brass grip. I think also that this is not original. Only thr Mk1 N°1 have a stock lug, I'll think so.

Best regards ;)

I have been photographing my collection for my files so a good time to show two No2 Mark1 pistols.
I917 dated # 26221 has the hammer spur removed by armourers.
1918 dated #33069 has the normal hammer spur. Nothing else seems special. Ron.
