Improvised German Signal Pistol 1945

Here is a ground find of an improvised signal pistol from the region around Halbe in East Germany. In the end of april 1945 the last fightings in the pocket of Halbe were fought by several retreating German Divisions and the Red Army. This improvised relic is the only one known that has a metal grip. The other known improvised German signal pistols of this type have a wooden handle.
