Hi,

Here a German holster in light brown, yellow. Never seen one like this before in this colours. What do you think, is this o.K.? Inside there's a stamp, but I don't find a WaA mark. Inside the mark is RDNr6/0570/0043. The last numbers can I see not so good. The cleaning rod have the WaA 715 stamp. Who knows more?

could it be rubberized canvas instead of paper ??

My belief is that this is a postwar manufacture, possibly E. German, possibly fake. I saw several rubberized canvas versions that color, and artificially aged to fool collectors about 15 years ago.
Both times they did fool a collector and sold.

I do not believe the cleaning rod is WWII either.

What is your opinion, as you actually have it in hand, I can only judge by the photo's

those holsters came up recently and were discussed in various forums. the general believe is that they are 100% fake, which is my opinion as well. i would not buy it.

the number in your holster is a factory number named “Reichsbetriebsnummer” (RB Nr). These numbers were assigned so that the producers did not have to be listed in plain text. The number in your holster should be: RB Nr. 0/0570 / 0043rd
The first digit indicates which mode is to:
0 = Industrial / 1 = craft etc. The first group (0570) provides information on the location of the company: 0550 = Cologne / 0560 = Wuppertal / 0571=Werdohl /0570 I have not found, it could be Lüdenscheid.
The second group shows the company number. Your number would thus mean:
Reichsbetriebsnummer: 0 (Industrial Use) 0570 (Lüdenscheid) 0043Company number
This System was not used after the end of the war.

RB numbers are used on a great many fakes. I have a number of fake Helmet chinstraps with RB numbers, and have seen them on fake overseas hats, tunics, and other items.

Yes, I'll think it's made in rubberized canvas. The holster is very good made. When you see the holster for the first time, you're thinking it's a original one. Now when I look for the second and thirt time, I begin more and more beleving that it's a fake one. I don't keep him in my collection.
