Hi,
I remember one similar that has been found in France. Not a lot of documentation. We arrive to the conclusion that it was a gunsmith production .. but what kind of purpose ? civilian ? Maybe civilian airplane or boat. However, very nice production and finish and numbered guns... It remains a mystery....

It is a well known variation, but rare. I also have one, not quite as nice.
