I have done it before, and there are lots of parts, but it is not too difficult. But I would NEVER do it without a second gun besides to have a look again how it works. I do not remember all steps, but try to get a second Piece for looking and then you start slowly taking the first pin out and open the housing. Then you take the mian inner part out, and you should be able to get to the safety Lever.
Difficult to explain, easier to do.

Sorry "waking up" this thread, but does anybody have any 'How to' or tutorial or a detailed description of a Sl flare gun ?
