Help about some German flaregun pouches

Post by BrunoH »

Hi,
I've seen the post: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=363
A friend of mine find this flare gun pouch and to be honest if it wasn't already listed in the previous post, I would have made the same mistake...
I'm very curious to get your opinion. Because, manufacturing is quite well done. Pieces of leather look fine. Details on construction is quite correct and the use of rivets for the straps could be possible.
The manufacturer code refers to an existing manufacturer (leather by the way).
Does anybody of you have a explanation or the 'proof' that it's a real fake ?

Here below some pictures

I do not believe these are WWII.
Guns have only two enemies, rust and politicians.

I am still looking for ANY information regarding the European Use of the Original Costons flares from 1859 through 1881. Photo's, Patents, contracts & orders, ANY INFORMATION IS NEEDED ! !

Hi,
In fact my question is: Are they original ? In the referenced thread, they are described as fake. Personally I don't care if it's true or not (they are not mine) but I just wanted to have your opinion. Post war made with fake stamps ? Original ?
Is there any detail that could be a red flag ? I'm a little bit surprised by the fact that in 1941, erstaz was already used ..
Both of them are built exactly on the same way, except color and manufacturer code. Same for the extraction tool, same fastening system...
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards

Post war made with fake stamps in my opinion including the cleaning rods.

If we start describing what we see wrong on the internet, the fakes will just get better and better, all the more quickly.

Keep the fakers guessing.

Thanks for your feelings..
I understand what you write regarding details.
Another question.. fake or just after war holster (for instance Norway or other) with fake stamps ?

I am not that knowledgeable about post WWII flare pistols, I will let someone else answer.

These are normally referred to as the "Pakistani made pouches". Often found on eBay.de sold by one dealer (rzm) over and over again. Even seen them with paintwork (whitewash and tan). Will not point out the details, but several of them are "off". The cleaning rod is a laugh, as all details in this combo are wrong.

BrunoH: Ersatz holsters were standard by 1940.
