Is this A rare/speciel piece? It have no banner or date, only walther acceptable and marine markings. Hope anyone Can help.

Hello, It is a late war Walther. Serial number probably with an "L" suffffix. These are scarce but not rare.

Yes, I have 4 or 5 of these Navy's, with slight differences.

I believe the "L" suffix pistols were from a commercial, rather than military production line. Most of these pistols, however were sold to the military. Serial numbers were commercial style with 5 digits ( and not like the military guns in blocks of 1 to 10,000 guns, each block having added a letter a, b, c, etc. )
