Eagle K / L police Rig

Post by josephhemi »

Just sharing for those who may be interested. 1938 Erma-Erfurt Eagle K stamped flare pistol #1004. Both the holster and flare gun are in excellent condition and Eagle K stamped. The cleaning rod is Eagle L stamped. Holster is also marked "A Fscher" 1938.

Beautiful example of a 1938! What would you value it at and would a capture certificate add value? I found one at a LGS in similar condition w/a 1945 capture cert. Tks!

Also, any idea what an unmolested VG condition 1938 Erma Erfurt, complete with VG holster, cleaning rod and verified capture paper (1945) might be worth? It has the old German eagle and two more nazi eagle stamps & other proof marks. I have pics but need to figure out how to make the file size smaller to post them. I'm just looking for a ballpark number. A local LGS took it in on a bulk purchase of firearms. No one knows what it's worth so I figured I'd offer $150 based on what I've seen online.

The blued cleaning rod is really special! You never see them like that. Was that a Polizei spec?

I usually add $100.00-$150.00 for a legit capture paper since I don't think they are worth more than that since the gun has the value.

Many fake capture papers are out there so be careful with the purchase.

If the paper has the GI's serial number on it there is a 20% chance you can find his service record in the National Archives. 80% of the records were destroyed in a fire a long time ago.

I offer the vets estate $100 to turn up any records on the vet including capture papers, dog tags, medal, photos, etc. since they mostly toss that paperwork out when cleaning out the estate.
