Hi,
I would like to sell two of my brothers flare guns.
Its a steel and a zinc version of the LP34, both by Walther:
Steel: 18709 L
Zinc: 52637 L
Could you give me a rough estimate of what these would be worth in the current market?
Thanks a lot,
Thomas[

Re: Sale, Lp34 Steel and Zinc version
A Zink recently sold on Gunbroker for $425. It had been listed two or three times before selling for the reduced price. I believe the buyer got a deal and am surprised it didn't go for more. I'm new to collecting FP's, about five years. I've only seen three or so for sale since starting. I am active on GB and several forums.
The steel is another rarity I'm lucky to have two. I purchased a minty early example with holster for $2300. My late war example was about 1K but it was a group purchase and I was pleased with the value.
Several of the listings on GB are inflated and have been relisted so many times, some for over a year. From my observations the market has softened. I saw a double LW sell for $425 and a few others unsold with no offers asking $600.
Hope my observations help.

Re: Sale, Lp34 Steel and Zinc version
Like Gunnertwo, I am also new to collecting, only for the past four or five years. I too am active on Gunbroker, which is the most active site around and prices have soften the past few months. I also see incredibly high prices for items that never sell, and other items that can go for rather low prices. I think now may not be the best time to sell. But if you need the money, then gunbroker may be your best bet, just start the auction price at the minimum you will accept.
Re: Sale, Lp34 Steel and Zinc version
Here in Europe a steel Version in this condition would be around 300 EUR. Zinc is rarer, but condition medium. If I would sell it, it would be 300 for steel and 350 for Zinc. But this is only my opinion.
